New Jackson is a thriving new community within the city – a world-class skyscraper district with inspiring architecture that is already transforming the city skyline.
Renaker has taken what was underutilised brownfield land within Manchester city centre to create a unique area through working with leading architects, SimpsonHaugh.
We are approximately 8 years into a 17-year masterplan. Progress is well underway to date with more than 3,000 new homes already delivered, 988 homes under construction, and over 3,000 in the pipeline.
New Jackson is already benefiting from substantial public space improvements, including green spaces, educational and medical facilities. The neighbourhood is now connected by new pedestrian and cycle pathways, promoting sustainable travel routes for the local community. These enhancements represent an investment exceeding £25m.
The masterplan
The masterplan will see over 6,400 high-quality homes alongside local, independent restaurants, cafes, shops, health and wellness services, a cookery school, and a primary school for the local community.
