Meet the Team

Founder
Daren Whitaker

A chartered surveyor, Daren originally formed Renaker with a vision to deliver exceptional and high-quality real estate that makes a real and positive impact on the quality of lives of the communities it creates and operates within.

Prior to the creation of Renaker, Daren enjoyed a successful career in construction with a ‘tier 1’ organisation, with responsibility for several major international and domestic projects.

Daren fostered Renaker’s ethos of honesty, integrity, and hard work, whilst operating in a straightforward manner in often complex arenas. These values remain the essential pillars to the culture of the business today.

Now non-executive, Daren provides invaluable consultancy advice to the board as required.

Chief Finance Officer
Andrew Floyd

Andrew joined Renaker having previously held a number of senior financial leadership positions.

He has over 20 years of property industry experience, with significant exposure to both investment and development funding, structuring property and corporate transactions, and leading finance operations within construction, development, and property investment businesses.

Andrew began his career at a ‘top 4’ advisory practice in Manchester and is a qualified accountant, having graduated from the University of Birmingham with a BSc in Accounting and Finance.

Chief Sales & Marketing Officer
Martina Collins

Martina is responsible for the complete Sales and Marketing function at Renaker, providing strategic direction for our Sales, Marketing and Customer Relations teams. She works closely with our international and UK sales partners across our developments.

Martina has worked on major regeneration mixed-use schemes in Manchester, London, Leeds, and York over the course of her career. Martina has a BSc in Property Economics, a MSc in Marketing, and an MBA.

Chief Development Officer
Andy Lofthouse

Andy leads our Development and Investment team, ensuring the whole business is aligned and focused to deliver our strategic objectives and vision.

With Renaker from the start, Andy previously enjoyed a successful career with a ‘tier 1’ construction company.

With an in-depth understanding of delivery combined with the complex and competing processes of how to make regeneration and development work successfully, Andy ensures a co-ordinated consistency across the business.

Development Director
James Sidlow

James leads the development team and is responsible for setting our initial project requirements / briefs, often incorporating our vision within a wider neighbourhood concept from the outset and ensuring our aspirations are maintained through the planning and delivery phases.

James works closely with our wider team and key stakeholders to ensure that our vision for each development becomes a reality, and has a passion for creating high-quality, sustainable places.

James qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2011 and holds a Diploma in Surveying and a BA (Hons) in Geography and Planning.

Investment Director
Mark Schilling

After qualifying with a BSc (Hons), Mark started his career in quantity surveying with a 'tier 1' contractor. A skilled negotiator with a depth of commercial experience, Mark prides himself on working collaboratively with partners and building long-term relationships. He works closely with funding partners across our business, raising capital to invest in future projects.

Mark also co-ordinates the PRS deals across the business, and is also responsible for the disposal of assets.

Chief Operations Officer
Dave Gough

Dave leads our full Design & Construction capability across the business.

He has been with Renaker from the start, after a successful career with a ‘tier 1’ construction company.

Dave continually drives improvement in our performance, ensuring delivery is carried out in a safe manner, to the required schedule and budget, up to the required quality standards.

Commercial Director
Lee Walne

Lee leads the business on a commercial front across our Design & Construction capability.

Having joined the business as a trainee in 2009, Lee has successfully developed his career over a period of more than 15 years, undertaking a variety of roles.

Appreciating the balance of achieving certainty in delivery and performance alongside commercial outcomes, Lee oversees a team that understands the importance of clear communication and a consistent approach to our business relationships with our expanding network of supply and delivery partners.

Lee holds a degree in Quantity Surveying.

Technical Director
Ajay Parag

Ajay has nearly 30 years of experience in architecture and design management, having worked with well-established architectural practices and 'tier 1' contractors.

As Technical Director, Ajay focuses primarily on pre-construction, where he works closely with the development team, along with design consultants and partners.

Ajay holds a BSc (Hons) in Architectural Technology.
