Architects’ Vision

Vista River Gardens introduces a new chapter of riverside living, with distinctive architecture shaped by the curves of the River Irwell. Two elegant towers sit within a richly landscaped setting, offering secure underground parking, private terraces, and interlinked amenity spaces.

Curved façades align with the river’s bends, whilst inflected elements create slender forms animated by light and shadow. Elevated on exposed columns, the towers frame three-storey colonnades and a central public realm connecting to the river’s edge.

Three quarters of the site is dedicated to parkland, with trees, shrubs, and lawns across ground level and a fully accessible stepped podium.

Interior Vision

Designing the interiors for Vista River Gardens gave the studio an opportunity to reflect the site’s rich history – exploring the former industries that once defined the area, while celebrating the neighbouring creative quarter, now home to Aviva Studios.

Inspired by historic dyeworks, warehouses, and the railway terminal, the design introduces stacked volumes for residents to explore across varied amenity spaces, from a Mini-Cini and Podcast Room to a hidden Speakeasy Bar with personal liquor lockers.

A colour palette of deep blues, rich purples, and vibrant yellows – drawn from Victorian dyes – is layered with dark timber, brushed metal, velvet, and stone.
